Lean spareribs

Prepared mustard

Hot Barbecue Sauce (recipe separately)
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
- In a large saucepan, cover ribs with water.
- Add salt.
- Cover pan, and bring to a boil.
- Let boil for 5 minutes.
- Drain; transfer ribs to the lined baking sheet.
- Use a pastry brush to coat ribs with prepared mustard on both sides.
- Bake on lower shelf of preheated oven for 15 minutes; remove from oven.
- Use the pastry brush to coat ribs generously with Hot Barbecue Sauce.
- Return to lower shelf and continue baking for 1 1/4 hours, or until the ribs are brown and tender; brush with barbecue sauce several more times during the baking period.
- If ribs stick to the baking sheet, add a few teaspoons of warm water.
- Serve hot, with fresh corn and sauerkraut, or with baked beans and coleslaw.
