Basil Pork Chops Recipe

Ingredients

Lean center cut pork chops (total weight 1. 25 lbs)

V8 juice

Dried basil

Salt

Coarsely ground black pepper

Directions

  1. Trim and discard extra fat from chops.
  2. In a large frying pan, brown chops without adding fat.
  3. When browned, add other ingredients.
  4. Cover tightly and simmer 40 minutes, or until tender.
  5. Turn meat occasionally and add a few tablespoons of water if necessary to prevent burning.
  6. Each serving is equal to 5 ounces uncooked of protein.
