Broiler-fryer chicken, (2 to 3 lb), cut into 8 pieces

Lemon juice

1 ½

Salt

Garlic powder, to taste

Pepper, to taste

In a 10-inch square, heat-resistant, non metallic baking dish, place chicken, bone side down.
Pour 1/4 cup lemon juice over chicken.
Heat, covered, in Microwave Oven 15 minutes.
Turn chicken over and add remaining lemon juice and season- ings to chicken.
Heat, covered, in Microwave Oven an additional 12 minutes or until chicken is tender.
