Smoked Pork Chops And Orange Dressing Recipe

Smoked pork chops, 1/2 inch thick

Butter, divided

Thinly sliced celery

Finely chopped onion

Coarsely chopped walnuts

Pkg seasoned croutons

Grated orange peel

Directions
- Brown pork chops on both sides in a hot skillet.
- Place in an ungreased 9x9x2-inch square baking dish.
- Add 2 Tbsp butter to pan drippings and melt.
- Add celery, onion and parsley and saute 2 to 3 minutes or until slightly softened.
- Stir in walnuts.
- Add remaining Tbsp butter and melt, then stir in croutons, orange peel and pepper.
- Remove from heat.
- Remove and discard remaining peel from orange.
- Slice orange and set aside 4 large slices from middle of orange and chop the remaining into bite-size pieces.
- Add pieces of orange to dressing mixture.
- Place an orange slice over each pork chop then spoon dressing over pork chops.
- Place remaining orange slices on top.
- Cover with foil.
- Bake in preheated 350-degree oven for 30 minutes or until chops are fork tender.
- Menu suggestions: Steamed buttered broccoli and tossed green salad.
