Welsh Pork Pasties Recipe

Ingredients

Chicken broth (12 oz)

VEG-ALL Mixed Vegetables, drained (16 oz) 9" refrigerated pie crusts

Egg beaten with

Milk

Directions

  1. Saute pork and onions in margarine for 15 minutes over medium-high heat.
  2. Add seasonings to meat mixture; sprinkle flour over meat mixture and cook until brown.
  3. Add chicken broth.
  4. Blend until thickened and well combined.
  5. Add VEG-ALL.
  6. Blend well.
  7. Remove from heat and chill until stiff.
  8. Lay out pie dough and cut 2 9" rounds in half.
  9. Place 1/2 cup filling on each half circle.
  10. Fold in half and seal; crimp each pastie with a decorative edge.
  11. Brush with egg wash, pierce tops with a fork and bake at 400'F. until golden, approximately 20 minutes.
